2024 Updates

There have been no significant changes to First Aid guidelines in the past 12 months and the information in first aid courses reflects the most recent set of RCUK and ERC guidelines which were released in 2021.

We have changed a few lessons and added some additonal content and you can view this from the links below:

Introduction to Bleeding

Treatment of External Bleeding

Please note that whilst we know you will not be teaching catastrophic bleeding on all courses it is increasingly being included in training. The content we have created covers the basics and we make it clear that learners should attend classroom training for skills practice.

Learner Feedback

We invite all learners to give feedback on courses before they complete the final assessment. We regularly review this and use it to improve what we do. We are working to find a way to share all comments with you in real time but thought you might like to see a few of them now. We have copied below the feedback of learners who completed training on 04 December 2023. Names and emails have been removed:

“Test was great enjoyed the learning experience”

“A good mixture of content to suit all learning types, e.g. video, quiz and text to read.”

“Very easy to navigate through and information was good. I do however feel that a face to face course is better but this is also a good option as an alternative.”

“Very informative and easy to follow. The videos were all succinct and extremely helpful!”

“Re-echo what I said last time. Good and easy to follow”

“The information was very helpful and well-organised. It is easy to remember the staff.”

“Love it. Easy to remember .”

“This course has been very informative. The tests along the course have helped me to focus on key points.”

“Factual and informative with a mix of reading and listening opportunities.”

“Nice clear precise information in each section of the course online. Though having an older device to work from I hope I covered all that was necessary.”

Good, comprehensive information with clear speakers and interesting videos.

“Clear training, I liked the option to pause/go back as it allowed me to make notes and check my knowledge as the training continued. Pictures/diagrams/videos were helpful.”

“I have enjoyed the contents of the course. It has been informative without being confusing.”

“Really enjoyed doing this online course. It was made easy by being able to stop and start whenever it was convenient.”

“I feel that the course has been improved, since my last update with more relevant information.”

“The way the training is delivered is punchy and interesting and factual.”

“Having done previous First Aid at Work through practicals and general overviews was good to work through all the potential scenarios that you might face as a “First Aider”. Was a bit daunting at first when I saw 77 steps to complete but was easy to work through and navigate.”

“Had a slight issue getting onto the elearning but once that was sorted found it easy to follow”

Add a Group Leader (Course Manager) to any of your groups

You can now add a Group Leader (Course Manager) to any of the groups you set up.

What does this do?

This will allow someone inside or outside your organisation to access reports and manage learners in this group. They will not be able to add seats to the group or to see data from any other groups you have set up.

How does it work?

When you go the Manage Your Courses page and select one of your groups, you will see the Add Group Leader button below the Users section at the bottom of the screen.
Click and add the person’s name and email and they will get an automated email from groups@elearnhere.co.uk with their login details. If they are already registered in the system they will just need the details they used when they registered.
